Certified Teacher Brand Use Agreement
Required Before Certification Granted
This document serves as a binding, certification agreement between any/all certified teachers (herein referred to as “Graduates”), and YOGABODY / YOGA TEACHERS COLLEGE TEACHERS (herein referred to as “The Company”).
This agreement is designed to (1) specify trademark and copyright legal restrictions for Company-owned marks and creative content, (2) outline Graduate limited use rights, and (3) outline Graduate illegal/restricted use of marks and materials.
Graduates’ career paths are theirs alone to choose, and The Company will support all professional choices made. Concurrently, The Company will pursue and protect its marks and creative content to the full extent of the law if its trademarks and/or copyrighted content are being used unlawfully.
Company owned trademarks (herein collectively referred to as “Marks” or “Trademarks”)

- Yoga Trapeze®
- Yoga Teachers College®
- Hurts So Good®
- Awesome Toes®
- Yoga Breath Coach®
- Gravity Yoga®
Trademark Format Requirements
Please note use of ALL CAPS (ex: YOGABODY), First Letter Caps (Yoga Teachers College), and spacing between words (Gravity Yoga).
When using Trademarks as per the permitted use in this agreement, formatting must be respected.
DISALLOWED TRADEMARK USE
No Web Domain Registration / Use
Graduates cannot purchase/own any URL that contains Company Trademarks without explicit, written permission.
No Logo Use
Graduates cannot use Company logos / Marks online or offline without explicit, written permission.
No Company / Corporation Formation w/ Trademark Name
Graduates cannot use Company Trademarks as an incorporation / company name, and cannot use Trademarks as part of a corporation name-phrase either without explicit, written permission.
No Trademark Use for Products / Books / Videos
Graduates cannot use Company trademarks in any product or brand name, including but not limited to, clothing, media, books, videos programs, and yoga props without explicit, written permission.
No Workshops / Training / Certifications Courses or Events
Graduates cannot teach, advertise, promote, or sell any workshop, training or certification courses using Company Trademarks without explicit, written permission.
No Social Medias Trademark Name Pages/Profiles
Graduates cannot use Company Trademarks in the naming of Graduates’ profile/page/account on any social media account. Social media is defined as third party publishing platforms including but not limited to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
PERMITTED BRAND USE FOR CERTIFIED TEACHERS
Yes, Trademark Use in Teacher Biography
Graduates can call themselves a Trademark-Certified Teacher (example: Yoga Teachers College® Certified Teacher or Yoga Trapeze® Teacher). In all cases, formatting rules must be followed and Registered Trademark Symbol “®” must be used.
Yes, Trademark Use in Class Names
Graduates can call their classes a Trademark-Style class (example: YOGABODY® Flow, Gravity Yoga®, of Yoga Trapeze® Class). As a certified teacher, Graduates are permitted to use the Trademark of all Graduate-held certifications in conjunction with any public or private class in a yoga studio, fitness centers, online or offline. In all cases, formatting rules must be followed and Registered Trademark Symbol “®” must be used. Logos cannot not be used.
Yes, Trademark Use on Social Media Content Title/Text
Graduates can Title and describe their photos, text, audio and video posts on social media sites using Company Trademarks. This does not include page/profile names. Social media is defined as third party publishing platforms including but not limited to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
COPYRIGHT / CREATIVE CONTENT
No Copyright Materials Use - Photos / Pose Charts / Manaus / Video
Graduates cannot copy, reproduce, sell, or use any Company training materials, photos, infographics, presentations, for commercial or non-commercial use. Use is for personal study only and cannot be shared and/or published privately or publicly.
Copyright materials include, but are not limited to: (1) photos (2) illustrations (3) pose charts (4) website text (5) training manual content (6) video content (7) presentations (8) videos.
